dkDavid G. Kamien is the CEO and founder of Mind-Alliance Systems , a company pioneering Intelligent Notification ManagementTM and netcentric collaboration technology for homeland security, counterterrorism intelligence, public health and business continuity. At Mind-Alliance, Kamien spearheaded the development of the first systematic framework for analyzing information sharing needs in homeland security -- the Information Sharing Needs Analysis MethodologyTM -- and piloted it successfully for the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security. Mr. Kamien has 20 years of security, consulting and technology innovation experience and is the editor of the The McGraw-Hill Homeland Security Handbook , considered a "significant contribution to the field".

hmsecurity_book_cover Prior to founding Mind-Alliance spent several years working in the homeland security area with major companies such as Motorola, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman and Marsh & McLennan. Born and raised in New York, Mr. Kamien served in the Israel Defense Forces in a variety of homeland defense and counterterrorism missions prior to returning to the U.S. in August 2001. During his early legal and consulting career Mr. Kamien analyzed international technology policy, law and markets for government agencies, law firms, and companies such as British Telecom. Mr. Kamien also invented several Internet-related technology applications. Mr. Kamien holds a BA from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Law Degree from Israel's Academic College of Law.
